WHO DO YOU ASK?

Many of us were taught that it is not polite to discuss money matters. Quite a few of us feel uncomfortable discussing our finances. Who should you ask? Do you ask a family member, a neighbor, or a co-worker? Will you tell them your ENTIRE financial situation: your income, your assets, your debt, your past mistakes, your needs, etc.? Do any of these people have the knowledge and skills necessary to answer your questions? All of us, at one point or another, would have liked an expert’s advice about the best decision for our situation.

Today, I believe management fees, commissions, quotas, and company policies create roadblocks for people to get their financial questions answered honestly. Many times what is best for the salesperson and the company may not be best for you. I offer objective help, a balanced view, and answers to your questions with no sales agenda, conflicts of interest, or strings attached. Now, you can answer the question: Who do you ask?

WHO AM I?

After graduating from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Finance and Organizational Behavior, I was a licensed financial advisor, before becoming the Chief Investment Officer for a registered investment advisor firm. During my career of almost 30 years in investment management and finance, clients and friends asked me for help with a diverse range of financial questions, many having nothing to do with investment management. They came to me knowing they would get objective, honest answers.

When I decided to leave the investment world, I continued to have former clients ask me for help with their financial questions because either they did not know anyone else to ask or did not trust anyone else to have the objective view they had come to know. Many people have financial questions and need honest answers for their specific situation. So, I decided I would use my knowledge, skills, and experience to help people get their financial questions answered in a balanced and unbiased manner, thus began BalaView.
